Plaza Rotary Global Grant to Malawi: Solar Lighting and Student Empowerment

Making a Difference, One Child at a Time

In 2016, the Plaza Rotary club partnered with Malawi Children’s Village to train primary  teachers in an after-school student empowerment program, install solar lighting in 8 primary schools and provide desks and books for a study area.  Hear the story of  the Plaza Club’s Global Grant-funded  Student Empowerment and Education Program and the lives it touched, in the words and images of Vocational Training Team  Elizabeth Usovicz, Bill Schmidt and Cindy Schmidt.
