This Friday: KSU Professor Katrina Lewis Speaks About Her Work Bridging CulturesImage

Since 1988, Katrina M. Lewis, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture and Product Design at Kansas State University in Manhattan, has taught at universities in China, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and, of course, Kansas, and in the summer of 2012 she took part in Rotary International's peace and conflict resolution program at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. Professor Lewis says that she is "undertaking a rewarding journey to intertwine her teaching, research, and service together with beginning design education, social justice, and cross cultural contexts." In this program, Professor Lewis will tell us more about her experiences with Rotary's short-term peace and conflict resolution program and about her work to bridge cultures around the world.
