Our club “whiskymaster” Roger Samuel has arranged for the single malt club to attend an exclusive Whiskey Experience at Restless Spirits in North Kansas City on Thursday, December 1^st , 6:30pm.  You may remember that the founder and owner of Restless Spirits (http://restlessspiritsdistilling.com/), Mike Shannon, spoke to our club a few weeks ago.  For $30 per person, we will be offered a tour of the distillery, an education on how Restless Spirits’ products (two excellent  Irish style whiskies, a gin and a vodka) are distilled and aged and, and sample pourings.  Roger plans on buying pizza and beer for consumption ahead of time, so plan on the entire evening costing around $40 or so.

Plaza Rotary will go on a journey through the history of the coffee bean, and one lucky Rotarian will get to mix, blend, and roast their own special coffee, to be shared with the entire group!  Plus, a special chocolate station will be set up to educate on the making of chocolate.  Beers to follow! - See more at: http://kcplazarotary.org/event/maps-coffee-roasters/

 

 

 

 

 

The holidays are almost here, and many in our community have so little. Here is our chance to help make the holidays just a little more beautiful for some Kansas City families.

 

 

December 3 Meeting:  Adopt a Gordon Parks School Family. We have collected $60.00 so far for the 2 families from Gordon Parks Elementary School.  We have two families: a family of 2, and a family of 5.  Eric would like all donations by our meeting on 12/3. To give Eric an idea of how many gifts we will be able to purchase, email erik.dickinson@urckc.org 

 

 

Dec 10th 10-noon- Harvesters. The Urban Rangers are expecting us to show them how we help our community, too. Email erik.dickinson@urckc.org to volunteer.

 

The first 2 weeks of meals are ready for the Bridge Home for Children. Please refer to the list below and email Eric Dickinson at erik.dickinson@urckc.org to help fill the need.
