Out of Africa

Following the International Convention in Atlanta (June 10-14) ,  District 6040 is hosting a delegation of African Rotarians on a very short Friendship Exchange onJune 16-18.  Rotarians will be in Kansas City for two nights and three days and will stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel near KCI.  The Out of Africa planning committee is looking for local hosts who’s responsibilities will be to attend events, provide transportation and companionship and host African Rotarians during the day to various tourist attractions around KC.  The daily schedule will be determined by the African Rotarian’s interests.  The event costs (reception Friday evening, lunch Saturday noon and reception/dinner Saturday evening) for local Rotarians will be about $75/person.  Please contact Jan Armstrong at JArmst2298@aol.com or Marc Horner at MHorner@aol.com if you are interested in being a host.  Cassy Venters has additional details, cdventers@me.com.
