Plaza Rotarians Take Part in Zones 30-31 Institute

Five Plaza Rotarians, led by Rotary International Director Larry Lunsford, took part in the Rotary Zones 30-31 Institute and future District Governors' training sessions two weeks ago in Lexington, KY.  As the RI Director for Zones 30 and 31 for 2013-15, Larry was the Top Dog, officially referred to as theImageConvener, for the Institute, which was attended by more than 400 Rotarians from the 26 Rotary Districts in the two zones.  The Institute was preceded by two days of training for District Governors (2013-14), District Governors Elect (2014-15), and District Governors Nominee (2015-16) and their spouses/partners.  PDG Elizabeth Usovicz did an outstanding job and won kudos as the Training Chair for the DG-training sessions.

Cassy Venters, District 6040 District Governor Elect, took part in the District Governor Elect training sessions, which included a tour of the Toyota plant in Georgetown, KY and an informational discussion of "Leadership: The Toyota Way."  PDG Jerry Venters was in training as District 6040 First Dude in 2014-15, and Jeff Deatherage manned a display booth for Shelter Box and attended a Saturday session for emerging Rotary leaders.  These five Rotarians represented the Plaza Club with distinction and we're proud of their work for Rotary.
