LEAAP Year

Leadership, Empathy And the Power of Persuasion – that is the subject of this week’s program.  Jim McGraw rose through the ranks to become President of Marion Laboratories and a Director of Merrill Dow until his retirement in 1990.  Jim and his wife Ann have been married for 63 years and have three grown children and seven grandchildren.

Come enjoy this opportunity to hear another installment in Jim’s series of inspirational messages.

Last call for Royals’ Championship flags

If you like the idea of getting a beautiful full-size Royals World Series Championship flag for $10, Erik Dickinson needs to hear from you pronto.  The deadline for ordering is tomorrow morning, Thursday, March 24th.  Erik will be picking them up tomorrow and bringing them to the meeting on Friday.  If you’d like one, email him now: erik.dickinson@urckc.org.

One for the history books

It's only a little more than a week before we hit the streets for Kansas City Day in support of the Rotary Youth Camp and our own club beneficiaries.  Because opening day is on Sunday, April 3rd, Kansas City Day is on Friday morning, April 1st.  Our regular meeting is canceled that day to enable all of us to get out and sell papers.

Kansas City Day started in 1987, which means, yes, this is the first time it will be celebrating a World Championship season.  At-a-Glance is betting that papers will fly out of our hands like never before.   To share in the excitement and stake a claim to your favorite corner, sign up at this Friday’s meeting or email Erik directly: erik.dickinson@urckc.org .
