This Week’s Meeting: Club Assembly
Stay up-to-date with all of our club’s activities and exciting news, and join us this week as President Jane Brown leads us in a Club Assembly where we will hear all about the progress our club has made throughout the year. Event chairs will give us updates on the Reverse Raffle, Games for Good and Shoes for Orphan Souls; committee chairs will share with us all of the things their respective committees have been doing.
 
 
 
 
 
May 6: Deadline to Submit Nominations for the Vocational Service Award
Scott Weaver, chair of the Vocational Service Committee, is seeking nominations for the club’s Vocational Service Award. Qualified candidates are non-Rotarians who exemplify outstanding professional achievement and high ethical standards; actively gives back to the community; and personifies Rotary’s Four-Way Test.
Please submit your nominations to Scott on or before May 6.
 
May 20: Arrowhead Stadium Tour – Vocational Service Event
On Fri., May 20 at 3 p.m., we will have our own private guided tour of the Arrowhead Stadium facility.  The tour will last 90 minutes and include seeing the press box, Scout Investments club level, locker room, field, and the Chiefs Hall of Honor.  Bring a prospective member or guests.

May 21: Reverse Raffle Auction
Please bring your checks this week!
This year’s Reverse Raffle and silent auction will be the best yet! And, a lot of fantastic auction items will go to the highest bidder or lucky raffle winner.
 
 
Our most generous host, Will Hodgkinson, is not only offering his home for this fun event, but he also is offering his wine collection of about 60 premium bottles of wine and top-shelf liquor for us to enjoy!

June 23: Changing of the Guard
Instead of singing “take me out to the ballgame,” president-elect Drue Thomas invites you to come out to the Negro League Museum on Thurs., June 23 from 6-9 p.m. and root for our new leadership team at the Changing of the Guard.
 
Dinner catered by Jack Stack Barbeque will be served in the Field of Legends and we will have full access to the museum. There will be a cash bar of wine, beer and cocktails.
