Program for February 13

This Week (Feb. 13): Annual Friends and Family Breakfast - Speaker Lexie Soukup, Hallmark Cards

Bring your spouse, your children, your friends to the annual Plaza Rotary Friends and Family Breakfast and enjoy some great warmth and friendships as we prepare for Valentine's Day on Saturday!  Our special speaker will be Lexie Soukup, a Product Manager in the Season Greetings division at Hallmark Cards.  Lexie has been an employee of Hallmark for over 15 years and past positions have included sales, training and product development and management.  Her current responsibilities include strategy and program development (e.g. identifying consumer needs, writing product strategies, and partnering with creative teams to execute product) for Halloween, Graduation, and most importantly today, Valentine’s Day Greeting Cards.

Lexie is a warrior for spreading good cheer and true love.  In addition to speaking to us today, she is spending her afternoon with her daughter’s 1st grade class, as she took on the challenge of planning and throwing the classroom Valentine’s Day party, complete with conversation hearts, bingo games, and, of course, trading Valentines.  Outside of Hallmark and volunteering with her daughter’s school, the Junior League of Kansas City, and her church, she spends her time with her other loves – her husband, Ryan, and their three small children, ages 7, 4, and 1.
