New items added to Reverse Raffle event!
It’s here! Saturday, May 9, is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year — the Reverse Raffle, at Grand Street Cafe. All those attending will receive a separate email via Clubrunner with directions to the facility’s covered parking for the night of the event.
In addition to all the amazing items that we’ve been telling you about over the past several weeks, we have some new items
- A certificate for beer for a year at K.C. Bier
- A small black Mavericks long sleeve heavy cotton shirt with zippered opening at neck and an unsigned players poster
- A large Miller Lite blue and white polyester golf shirt, and
- A voucher for 4 Royals tickets to any regular season home game — we’ll have a total of three Royals tickets packages offered at the auction!
Moneys raised will benefit the Urban Ranger Corps, Hope House, Cristo Rey High School, PolioPlus (Rotary's effort to eradicate polio worldwide), and other Plaza Rotary beneficiaries in the community.
The Reverse Raffle will be the club's major fundraising event in 2015. It will feature a $2,000 grand prize for the final number left in the drum, and numerous smaller prizes. There will be a silent auction of many valuable items and plenty to eat and drink, according to co-chair Denise Holt. Just 150 tickets, at $100 each, will be sold, giving all buyers a 1-in-150 chance of becoming the grand prize winner.
