Chuck Allen, born and raised in urban of Wyandotte County, overcame the odds to earn two degrees and start four non-profits, including the Urban Scholastic Center - An award-winning ministry that is impacting thousands of lives in urban Wyandotte County. theusc.org

Chuck was born and raised in urban Wyandotte County, Kansas. He received a scholarship from Kansas State University to compete as a sprinter on the K-State track team. While at K-State, Chuck earned degrees in graphic design and education. Upon receiving his degree in education, he received the “Outstanding Student in the College of Education” award. Over the years, Chuck's drive to serve youth has paired him with organizations such as the Wyandotte County juvenile detention center, the Blue Valley School district, Kansas City Youth for Christ, and the National Center for fathering. Chuck is the founder of the Urban Scholastic Center, and three other non-profit corporations. Under his direction, the Urban Scholastic Center has earned several awards, including the prestigious National Christian Foundation Passion Award, four times, the Kansas City Kansas School district Reason’s To Believe award, Donnelly College Delta Award, and the Dr. Charles J. Briscoe Urban Ministry award, to name a few. Chuck has been married to his wife, Tricia, for 23 years and they have four children. Their oldest son is a graduate of Stanford University, one of their daughters is a senior at Wheaton College. Their other daughter attends a community college in Chicago and will transfer to Wheaton next year, and their youngest son is a junior at Sumner Academy.
