At ReDiscover, Stephanie worked with a group of community stakeholders to open the KC-ATC in order to serve adults who were struggling with behavioral health issues. Stephanie and her team at KC-ATC helped get people connected to services and start their recovery process. |

District 6040 Update

Dear Rotarians and Friends of Rotary in District 6040,
My name is Marc Horner and I have been a member of the Kansas City, Missouri Rotary Club #13 for the last 25 years. My wife Barbara and I have two wonderful daughters, a fabulous son in law, one granddaughter and two Grand Dogs. We are lucky to have all of them living close by and my favorite evening consists of everyone being together for dinner.
I am pleased to serve with a District Governor lineup consisting of Past District Governor Julie McCoy, DG Elect Don Gladhart, DG Nominee and fellow Club 13 member David McCaughey and DG Nominee Designate Kent Shelman. |

The Sewing Labs

In 2016, The Sewing Labs®, was officially formed as a 501(c)3, with the mission: “To inspire hope in populations of women marginalized by generational poverty, addiction, incarceration, immigration or other life-challenges, through job skills training in the creative sewing arts, and networking.” Originally from Chicago, Eileen came to Kansas City to direct an area in the Creative Division at Hallmark. After successfully leading her team through growth and innovation, Eileen entered the nonprofit sector serving greater Kansas City. The past several years has seen Eileen working as a Brand Services Director with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, working with the prisoner re-entry “Turn Around” program at Catholic Charities of KC-St. Joseph, and as the Director of Development and Communications with Camp Fire National Headquarters. Most recently, Eileen was the Area Director for Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska with the Pinky Swear Foundation. |

Joseph Dandurand, a former judge on appellate and circuit courts and a former deputy attorney general, will head the Kansas City office of Legal Aid of Western Missouri. As executive director, Dandurand will lead more than 50 attorneys and 100 total employees in the office, which provides legal assistance to people with low income. He redeveloped his first property in 1980 during the time that he was a full time student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, and a Juris Doctor from the UMKC School of Law.
Butch founded the Screenland Movie Theatre Circuit, and as a part of that venture, he restored the Historic Granada Movie Theatre Building located at 1015 Minnesota Avenue in downtown Kansas City Kansas. He then renovated the historic Armour Theatre Building in downtown North Kansas City, Mo. |

He set up two Scottish Rite foundations, including the Childhood Language Disorders Clinic. He has done extensive community relations between faith communities. He has worked for equity In the workplace through the Missouri Commission on the Status of Women and the Jackson County Commission on Human Rights. A graduate of the Kansas City Public Schools, his proudest accomplishment has been raising two sons in the public schools, one a government auditor graduated from K State and the other a professional musician graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia. |
