Butch Rigby is the founder (2008) and owner of the Screenland Companies in Kansas City which founded the Screenland Theatre in North Kansas City. Now operated by BMAR Entertainment, Screenland brings all types of movies, from first run blockbusters to classics of the big screen.

Screenland Real Estate Services has also developed historic buildings in and around Kansas City, Missouri. From properties in the Crossroads District of Kansas City, to the 63rd street corridor, as well historic buildings in midtown Kansas City, including the Luzier Cosmetics Building and the Bitterman Candy Building.

Butch is also the founder and Chairman of Thank You Walt Disney, Inc., dedicated to the preservation of Walt Disney’s first cartoon studio, “Laugh-O-Gram Studio”, located in Kansas City, Mo. He is past chairman of FilmFest Kansas City (now Kansas City FilmFest) as well as serving as the President of the Film Society of Greater Kansas City. Butch has also served on the Troost Midtown Association and is a former member of the Film Commission of Greater Kansas City.
