Partners for Peace*

Partners For Peace is a new collaboration to reduce violence in Kansas City, initiated out of an effort to go beyond the traditional approaches of arrest and prosecution. A key element of the program currently is reaching out to every victim of gunshot in Kansas City to help them avoid a future connected to violence. A governing board that includes Prosecutor Baker, the mayor, the new police chief and the director of the Kansas City Health Department, as well as community representatives, direct the program.

Jean Peters Baker is the Jackson County Prosecutor.  

Michael Mansur works as communications director at the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.
