RYLA STUDENT NOMINATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 7

STUDENT APPLICATION DEADLINE-- FEBRUARY 28, 2020

In case you aren’t familiar with RYLA, Missouri RYLA Academy is a 4-day, 3-night leadership academy for high school sophomores/juniors who exhibit a desire for community service. Developed by some of Missouri's top educators, the curriculum is designed to identify and enhance the qualities of servant leadership for each participant, educate them on how to successfully implement a service project, and inspire them to live a lifetime of "Service Above Self." In addition, participants are introduced to the programs and values Rotary has to offer. www.MissouriRYLA.com

In 2020 the Youth Services Committee RYLA initiative, led by committee member Steve Rotkoff, embarks on an ambitious goal of recruiting 6-10 students. We ask that Plaza Rotarians help us identify worthy candidates, donate towards tuition and support fundraising efforts like the golf tournament that enables us to sponsor these young men and women. We will follow up with an application that will enable us to assess and select the students. Please note that students will need to confirm their availability for either of the two sessions and arrange transport to William Woods University in Fulton, MO.

Important 2020 dates and deadlines:

Session 1: Sunday, June 28th to Wednesday, July 1st

Session 2: Sunday, July 12th to Wednesday, July 15th

RYLA student nomination deadline: February 7

Application deadline: February 28

Students will be selected and notified by early April.
