This Friday:  "Honor Flight, Honor Veterans"Image

The goal of Honor Flight KC, and other Honor Flight groups around the country, is to take World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the new World War II Memorial. According to 2012 statistics, almost 800 WWII veterans are dying every day, and Honor Flight KC strives to take these veterans to Washington before they become unable or unwilling to travel.  Veterans who have made the trip are greatly honored and thrilled at the reception they receive and at the opportunity to see the memorial. Gary Lint, an Air Force Korean War veteran and a member of the Gladstone Rotary Club, will tell us about the good works of Honor Flight KC.
