Forces Reshaping Kansas City

Brian Kaberline is editor-in-chief of the Kansas City Business Journal.

Brian Kaberline first came to the Kansas City Business Journal as an intern and later served as a reporter and managing editor. Since becoming editor in 1999, he’s overseen the transformation of the publication from having a weekly print edition to a digital-first publication with two daily email editions to go with the print edition.

As editor, Kaberline directs all Business Journal newsroom operations. This includes setting the priorities for coverage, working with reporters to identify sources and story lines, working with other editors on issues related to story direction and presentation, editing stories and — less occasionally as of late — writing editorials and columns.

Kaberline is a graduate of the University of Kansas and lives in Lee’s Summit.
